A fake news website by the name of USA Television posted an article claiming Donald Trump signed an executive order to allow all 'Carribean Nationals' to travel to the United States without visas.
The fake article begins like this:
The new order, serving as a change in visa policy for Caribbeans traveling to the United States, would permit Caribbean nationals stay in the U.S for a maximum period of 180 days for Tourism or Business purposes only. Stay over 180 days would therefore require a visa.
Trump says this measure is to strengthen trade between the United States and the entire Caribbean. "The Caribbeans is my greatest bet for Trade and Economic growth" - Trump said.
It has emerged that trade and bilateral visa deals have been discussed by Trump and various Caribbean missions in the States.
How do we know this news is fake? Because it is an almost exact copy of another hoax article making the rounds which claims the visa-free travel policy is for everybody in Asia. Also, one of the centerpieces of Donald Trump's run for president has been to make it more difficult to immigrate to the United States so implementing this policy would not make any sense for him.
Also, the U.S. Embassy to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean, and the OECS has put out a statement that reads:
