Does a photo on social media show former President Donald Trump's May 23, 2024, political rally in the Bronx? No, that's not true: The image does not depict the New York City borough. Instead, it shows a 2008 campaign event in St. Louis by then-presidential nominee Barack Obama, which news reports at the time said drew 90,000 people.
The claim appeared in a post (archived here) published on X, formerly Twitter, by Alex Cole on May 23, 2024. The post's caption said:
Pretty good crowd for Trump in the Bronx.

The post
To show the candidate's popularity, the post displays what it falsely claims is a picture of a political rally Trump held in Crotona Park in the Bronx on May 23, 2024. Trump did hold a rally in the Bronx on May 23, 2024; however, the image in the post doesn't show it.
The photograph
Through a reverse image search with Google Lens, Lead Stories found that the image featured in the post on social media is actually from more than 15 years earlier. The photograph is from an Obama rally held at the Gateway Arch in St. Louis on October 18, 2008. The distinctive St. Louis County Old Courthouse (circled in red below) can be seen in the background of two different images from that day:
