Fact Check: NO Evidence Taylor Swift Was Named In Sean 'Diddy' Combs' List No List

Was Taylor Swift named in a list "revealed by" Sean "Diddy" Combs, who was charged with sex trafficking in September 2024? No, that's not true: The website that reported she was named provided no evidence to back up its story and it's unclear to what type of list the article was even referring. Rap entrepreneur Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) on Facebook on September 25, 2024. The post read:

The post's author linked to this article (archived here) to back up its claim. The article, which was published September 24, 2024, opened:

Recently, the entertainment industry was rocked when Taylor Swift's name surfaced in a list revealed by Diddy. As one of the most powerful figures in the music industry, Diddy didn't hold back when sharing shocking truths about showbiz, exposing secrets hidden behind the glamorous facade.

The article provided no evidence to back up its claim that Swift was named in a list "revealed by" Combs. It's unclear even what sort of list the article meant -- a victims list, a collaborators list or something else.

The website that published the article, https://amazing.drinkfood.info, is not a credible news site. According to the internet-domain registry Whois, the site was registered (archived here) in March 2023 in Vietnam, but the site itself does not list any owners or publishers.

Combs was charged in September 2024 with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is expected to remain in custody as he awaits trial.
