The fake recording used Jordan Peterson's appearance on Episode #1070 of "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast. This is discernible from the black jacket and yellow shirt he is wearing, which is different from his outfits for his eight other appearances on the podcast: #877, #958, #1006, #1139, #1208, #1769, #1933 and #2180. A search of the YouTube account for the podcast using Peterson's name shows he appeared on these nine episodes.
In the authentic recording, Peterson does not discuss Antarctica. Searching the YouTube transcript, words used by the claim such as "Antarctica," "emperor penguins," "wildlife" and "Remi Warren" are not found.
Lead Stories also listened to the episode; the purported discussion on Antarctica did not happen.
