Fact Check: Video Does NOT Show Woman Dancing With 'Trump 2024' Flag, Then Deported -- Different People Not the Same

Did online posts accurately show a woman dancing with a "Trump 2024" flag, then being deported? No, that's not true: The posts combined two clips that showed entirely different people. The first was Lenette Saunders, who posted "Latinos celebrating Papi Trump's victory" in November 2024. The second woman was Alejandra Juarez, who was deported in 2018.

The claim appeared in a May 12, 2025, post on X (archived here), which consisted of a caption that read "Damn she voted for Trump and he deported her😀" along with a video that contained two clips: one of a woman dancing with a "Trump 2024" flag; another which showed a woman tearfully saying "They're deporting me, they're kicking me out."

The video can be viewed below:

In reality, the two clips showed two different people.

The first was Lenette Saunders, who posted a video of herself dancing with the "Trump 2024" flag under the caption "Latinos celebrating Papi Trump's victory" in a November 6, 2024 post on TikTok:

The second clip showed a woman named Alejandra Juarez, a Mexican national who was deported in 2018, during the first Trump administration. In interviews, she reported that her husband, a U.S. military veteran, voted for Trump in 2016. The footage of her tearfully saying "They're deporting me, they're kicking me out" came from an interview in June 2018, when Juarez had just discovered she would be deported:

In 2021, the Biden administration gave Juarez temporary humanitarian status, allowing her to return to her family in Florida. However, in April 2025 she indicated that she would be leaving the country in June.
