Did President Donald Trump thank "No Kings" protesters in a widely-shared Truth Social post in June 2025? No, that's not true: An apparent screenshot of such a post was in fact fake. Trump did not write "I was very concerned a king was trying to take my place, but thanks to your tireless efforts, I AM STILL YOUR PRESIDENT!"
The fake screenshot appeared in a June 15, 2025, post on X (archived here). It read:
A HUGE THANK YOU to all the "No Kings" protesters yesterday!
I was very concerned a king was trying to take my place, but thanks to your tireless efforts, I AM STILL YOUR PRESIDENT!
Great job all!!! 🇺🇸
This is what it looked like at the time of writing:

In reality, Trump never posted any such message on Truth Social, and the screenshot was the result of digital editing.
Lead Stories reviewed Trump's account on Truth Social on June 16, and did not see any such post published recently. Furthermore, a Google search for the phrase "I am still your president" limited to links containing truthsocial.com/@realdonaldtrump (using the "site:" search operator) returned no results, indicating Google didn't recently index such a post.
Trump's Truth, a website that archives Trump's Truth Social posts, did not contain any posts with the phrase "I am still your president".
