Did Hugh Hefner say that Donald Trump was not allowed in the Playboy mansion after he found out he was a 'pedophilie'? No, that's not true: There is no published record of Hefner saying he considered Trump to be a pedophile, or that he had been banned by his Los Angeles mansion. Trump did visit the mansion as recently as 2006 for production of an episode of his reality show, "The Apprentice." The meme making the claim placed the quote on an image of a commemorative Time magazine cover published in 2017 that did not include the quote.
The claim appeared in a post (archived here) shared on X on July 14, 2025, under the title "Trump is in the Epstein files." The quote included on the image read:
DONALD TRUMP WAS NOT ALLOWED IN THE PLAYBOY MANSION AFTER I FOUND OUT HE WAS A PEDOPHILIE

Donald Trump had a decades long friendship with Hugh Hefner. The future president was featured on the cover of a 1990 Playboy magazine edition (archived here.) The Playboy founder regularly invited Trump to attend Playboy anniversary parties, including in 1993 and 1998. Trump produced an episode (archived here) of "The Apprentice" at the Playboy mansion in 2006. While Hefner's son, Cooper Hefner, attacked Trump in 2016 calling Trump's connection to Playboy a "personal embarrassment," the elder Hefner is not quoted anywhere disparaging his longtime friend.
A Google search for keywords from the supposed quote included in the meme failed to find any instances of it being published prior to the surfacing of the meme on social media in 2025. The meme does include a real Time magazine commemorative cover (archived here) published soon after Hefner's September 27, 2017 death. The quote was not on or in that magazine.
