Fact Check: Video Of Italy's Prime Minister Meloni Describing Trump's Smell, Flatulence Is NOT Real -- AI Generated AI-Made

Is a video of Italy's prime minister Giorgia Meloni describing President Trump being a "mix of sweat and flatulence" and "a giant moving biogas pit" authentic? No, that's not true: The video includes a disclaimer that reads "Creator labeled as AI-generated" on the TikTok channel where it originated. It has been widely shared on social media platforms by other accounts without the disclosure that it is not real.

The video (archived here) was originally published on TikTok on August 20, 2025, with a description that read:

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed dissatisfaction with Trump during this White House meeting.#trump #usa #usatiktok #usa???????? #fy #foryou #foryoupage #giorgioarmani

This is what the first frame of the video looked like on TikTok at the time of writing:

The video includes real clips of Meloni and other European leaders at the White House with Trump on August 19, 2025. The leaders were gathered to discuss ways to end the Russia-Ukraine war. The narration in Meloni's voice created by an artificial intelligence tool says in part:

No one could bear being near Trump for even a single minute. The mix of sweat and flatulence was absolutely beyond imagination... No one can truly understand what it feels like to sit for hours beside a giant moving biogas pit.

The @entertainment.fan2 TikTok account made it clear with a disclaimer this was not an authentic video.

Viewers who did not see the disclaimer in the description could still see a notice that it was made by AI at the bottom of the video.

These disclosures, however, do not follow the video when it is copied and posted onto X or other platforms.
