Did Amy Redford make a video where she detailed the reasons why she will not allow Donald Trump to appear at the funeral for her father, Robert Redford? No, that's not true: This video's narration is an AI-generated cloned voice. There has been reporting that Sibylle Szaggars Redford is organizing the funeral in accordance with her husband's wishes -- to have a simple, family-only funeral. There have not been any public statements by members of the Redford family naming specific people who are not invited to the funeral.

In the TikTok video, the fake voiceover begins:
I absolutely will not allow Trump to appear at my father, Robert Redford's funeral.
My father spent his life pursuing freedom, dignity, and integrity. He used his fame to promote environmental protection, support the rights of indigenous peoples and the LGBTQ community, and he believed that art could change society. He was not the kind of person who chased power. And he would never tolerate using hatred as a political tool.
For this reason, when I saw Jimmy Kimmel being punished with a suspension for openly criticizing MAGA, I felt anger and sadness welling up in my heart. If my father were alive, he would certainly say speaking out is never wrong. Silence is the greatest betrayal.
On film sets and in charitable activities, he constantly taught us to use our voices to protect the most vulnerable. We must have the courage to expose lies and hypocrisy. I want to use the funeral to show the world. We will not let my father's spirit be defiled by false mourning, nor will we allow someone like Trump, whose beliefs are completely opposite to his, to pretend to grieve.
There is no public reporting or full video showing Redford saying this. Lead Stories took the audio from this clip and analyzed it with the Hiya tool from the InVid verification plugin (pictured below). The analysis determined this was a cloned voice.
