Fact Check: Video Of Bear Breaking Into Woman's Bedroom Is NOT Real AI Generated

Does CCTV footage authentically capture a bear's intrusion into a woman's bedroom? No, that's not true: The clip contained several visual artifacts consistent with generative AI production. Among those is a piece of furniture partially absorbed by a wall.

The claim appeared in a video (archived here) published on October 2, 2025, on X, under the caption that read:

This has to be Cap.

The post included a video that appeared to show a bear breaking into a woman's bedroom. This is what the clip looked like on X at the time of writing:

"Cap," mentioned in the video's description, is a slang term for lying. Thus, the poster implied that the footage may not be real.

Other signs supported that, too.

As the bear breaks into the bedroom through the window, the divider strangely remains intact, despite the video including sounds of breakage.

The square outline of the window pane is unchanged after the bear crashes through it.

After the bear lands in the room, there is no debris or shattered glass on the floor.

At the 00:05 mark, the chair paranormally melts into a wall.
