Fact Check: Missing Blue Ridge Toddler Jacob Riley Was NOT Seen Alive With A Pack Of Wolves On Trail Camera Footage -- Fake News Story Satire Source

Did a trail camera capture footage of a still-missing three-year-old Jacob Riley walking with a pack of wolves just outside Blue Ridge? No, that's not true: This video was published by Blue Ridge Breaking News, which produces satire and parody content. A disclaimer on the Facebook page says, "We are a world-renowned satirical news organization bringing you the stories that matter--or at least sound like they do."

The video was published as a reel (archived here) by Blue Ridge Breaking News on Facebook on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025. It was captioned:

Authorities in Cherry Log, just outside Blue Ridge, say 3-year-old Jacob Riley, who went missing Thursday evening from his family's home, was spotted on a trail camera walking alongside a pack of wolves. Investigators say the footage, captured early Friday morning on a private property line, appears to show the boy moving calmly among several wolves on a wooded path.
Search teams have since expanded their efforts in the area, with drones and K-9 units deployed at first light. Officials have not confirmed the child's condition, but family members say they remain hopeful after seeing the footage. - Callie 👉 #BreakingNews #ViewerVideo #CaughtOnCamera #MissingChild #JacobRiley #Wolves #SearchEffort #BlueRidge #CherryLog #Wildlife #LocalNews #CommunityUpdate #SmallTownStories #BlueRidgeBreakingNews

The Facebook page has an aerial view photo of the real town of Blue Ridge, Georgia. About eight miles away from Blue Ridge, there is an unincorporated community with a post office, Cherry Log. Although these are real places, a Google search for "Jacob Riley" AND "Cherry Log" did not produce any real news results (archived here) suggesting that a child named Jacob Riley is currently missing in that region. The search results did show many duplicate posts and clickbait websites carrying the AI-generated video.

YouTube has a policy that AI generated content is labeled, while Facebook does not. Lead Stories checked the @BlueRidgeBreakingNews Youtube Channel to see if the Jacob Riley video might be posted there with a disclaimer. The video of the lost toddler was not published on YouTube, but a similar video was posted on Nov. 14, 2025. It is titled, "Chihuahua leads a wolf pack". It is captioned:

Nighttime trail camera footage showing what appears to be a small Chihuahua walking alongside a pack of wolves.
