Did a 42-year-old mechanic named Mark Delcourt escape from a hospital in the northern U.S. when he realised they were preparing to harvest his organs? No, that's not true: There is no corroborating evidence matching key details of this story. Several of the unrelated clips used in the video can be traced to incidents that happened in other countries and do not document a fake organ harvesting story.
The video appeared in a post (archived here) published on Facebook by VidZap on Jan. 3, 2026. It was captioned:
A patient frantically escaped from the hospital, uncovering the terrifying secrets hidden within

The narration of the video begins:
Shocking news: A 42 year-old mechanic escaped from a hospital in the northern United States in a state of panic shouting, "They wanna take my organs!" At first police believed he was delirious after a minor accident but two hours later a raid changed everything.
It would be extremely unusual for a legitimate newsroom to lead with "in the northern United States" instead of naming the state or city.
The scene pictured above appears at time code 00:00:12 of the video. Using Google Lens reverse image search, Lead Stories found the source footage in an article (archived here) published by RT Arabic on Dec. 28, 2025. The article explained that a large number of young people complaining that they had been subjected to torture and ill treatment had escaped from an addiction treatment center in Giza Governorate, Egypt.
A Google search for the terms "Mark Delcourt" AND mechanic only returned duplicate copies of this fake story.
The @VidZap version of this story shows a man in a hospital gown running (below left). A search of TikTok for the phrase, "A patient frantically escaped from the hospital" brings up duplicate copies of the fake story, including clips showing entirely different people making a break for it wearing hospital gowns (remaining pictures to the right).![]()

At 00:22:00 a clip shows a uniformed man viewing security footage (below left). This clip appears to be a sloppily edited fake -- the security footage carrying "On The Tiara" watermarks has been superimposed onto the computer screen. Lead Stories located that watermarked security footage, posted on Aug. 20, 2025 on the Instagram channel of @onthetira (below right). The footage from a Baada clothing store in Yucaipa, CA played a role in the investigation of the murder of seven-month-old Emmanuel Haro. Initially the parents falsely reported their son had been kidnapped. On Nov. 3, 2025 Jake Haro was sentenced (archived here) to 25 years to life after he pled guilty to the baby's murder. Rebecca Haro is also facing charges of murder and of filing a false police report. A felony settlement conference is scheduled (archived here) for Jan. 21, 2026 in Riverside, CA. This has nothing to do with a man escaping from an underground organ harvesting operation.

At 00:00:34 a clip shows two uniformed officers, one with a jacket that reads "NYSPD Police" across the back, the other with a patch visible on his sleeve. These are the uniforms of the New York Sanitation Police Department. The patch can be seen in a CBS News report about the department (archived here) posted on YouTube on May 14, 2018.
At 00:00:39, the video narration says:
A special tactical unit raided the basement. They found four patients strapped down, one lying on a table next to a tray of surgical tools stained with dry blood. Behind a false wall they discovered a secret room containing six unregistered medical refrigerators and 28 files marked with a red X.
The coinciding video clip shows a tunnel (below left) at 00:00:47. This tunnel is not a hidden part of a hospital organ harvesting operation. The tunnel, and the four-plank-wide rolling dolly, are part of the underground bunker at the Derbyshire, UK home of Dave Billings (pictured below right). Billings runs a YouTube channel @Tornado_Dave.

A law enforcement officer speaking at a press conference appears in a clip at 00:00:54 (inset below left). Although Lead Stories was not able to identify the specific press conference, the man pictured is Sheriff Carmine Marceno of Lee County, Florida (also pictured below right). Clearly that clip is not evidence of something that happened in the northern part of the U.S.
