Does a post about Mark Zuckerberg's supposed subpoena accurately reflect recent reporting on the Jeffrey Epstein front company, Butterfly Foundation, named in the Tehran files? No, that's not true: Media reports don't support that. Lead Stories found no news articles corroborating the claim.
The claim appeared in a post (archived here) published on X on March 4, 2026. It opened:
MARK ZUCKERBERG WAS JUST SUBPOENAED. Not for data leaks. Not for censorship. For Epstein. Bondi's team found 3 wire transfers from a Meta subsidiary called 'Horizon Bridge LLC' to the Butterfly Foundation -- the same Epstein front company named in the Tehran files. Total: $47.2 million between 2016 and 2019. But that's not the worst part. The worst part is what the money was for. Internal Meta documents recovered from the Tehran servers show that Zuckerberg personally approved a program called 'Project Looking Glass.' Its purpose: to build a private facial recognition database of every child on Instagram under the age of 14. 12.4 million faces. Catalogued. Tagged. Sorted. And shared with a single external client: Ghislaine Maxwell. Zuckerberg's lawyers released a statement 40 minutes ago: 'Mr. Zuckerberg will cooperate fully.' That's what they all say. Right before the handcuffs.
This is what the post looked like at the time of writing:

The term "Tehran files" is not recent. It refers to the documents (archived here) stolen from an Iranian facility by Israeli intelligence in 2018.
Lead Stories conducted multiple searches and found no evidence supporting any element of the claim.
A search for the words "Tehran files" and "Epstein" (archived here) on Google News showed a single article from 2019 that didn't support the 2026 claim reviewed in this fact check.
Other Google News searches did not support the claim, either.
A search for the keywords "Horizon Bridge LLC" AND "Meta" produced zero results (archived here).
A search for the supposed quote from Zuckerberg's attorneys didn't show any matches (archived here) on Google News.
Additionally, a search for the keywords "Mark Zuckerberg," "subpoenaed," "Bondi," "Epstein" and "Horizon Bridge LLC" yielded no records (archived here).
Furthermore, a search across the Department of Justice's "Epstein Library" didn't show any results for that LLC supposedly mentioned in those materials:

Finally, the Facebook co-founder wrote nothing about the purported subpoena on his account on that social media platform. No credible evidence supports any element of the claim -- not the subpoena, the wire transfers, Project Looking Glass, or the connection to Epstein.
