Fact Check: President Trump Did NOT Post About 'Hormuz Peace Board' On Truth Social -- It's A Fake Post Unreal Post

Did President Donald Trump post a message about a "Hormuz Peace Board" on his Truth Social account on March 16, 2026? No, that's not true: No post including the phrase "Hormuz Peace Board" could be found on Trump's Truth Social account. There is no evidence online that the president ever shared a post accusing Presidents Obama and Biden of starting a war with Iran that the U.S. has "been fighting it for over 47 years."

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) where it was published by @Ahab4Eva X account on March 16, 2026, under the caption "He's flopping around like a chicken with its head cut off 😖". It opened:

This war was started by BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA and JOE BIDEN and we've been fighting it for over 47 years now! I'm putting an end to it because I am the Peace President! This week I will be creating the Hormuz Peace Board where our so called coward NATO allies are not welcome, many real allies have already expressed desire to join this once in a lifetime opportunity to secure the Hormuz for peace! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President Donald J. Trump
