Fact Check: FAKE Trump Truth Social Post Calls Australian PM Anthony Albanese 'Airbus' -- Fabricated Image Made-Up Post

Does a social media post by President Donald Trump call Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese "Airbus"? No, that's not true: The supposed post does not appear on the president's official Truth Social account, and there are no reliable reports that it ever did. The image of the fake post also uses a different font than that used on Truth Social.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) by the @JJKALE2 account on X on April 17, 2026. It read:

Henry Kissinger -- 'It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal.'

@AlboMP just found out..... pity, cause we all could have told him.

This is what the post looked like on X at the time of writing:

The text included in the fake screenshot read:

I am not happy with the RETARDED Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony 'Airbus' Albanese. We have helped him so much, but he did not want to help us in Iran. A very sad little man! I just heard he travelled to Asia to secure 1 million barrels of oil, which is ONLY one day of supply for Australia. We could have helped you Anthony, and the great people of Australia, but you made your choice by not helping us. WE WILL NOT FORGET!!! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT

Lead Stories manually reviewed Trump's Truth Social account for recent posts that contained the phrases "Anthony Albanese" and "Airbus." No matching posts were found.

Trump's Truth, a website that archives Trump's Truth Social posts, includes one post indexed with the prime minister's name (archived here) from March 9, 2026, but it did not include the word "Airbus." This is what the post looked like on Truth Social at the time of writing:

Lead Stories searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo! News (archived here) and did not find any matching reports for "Trump called Australian PM Anthony Albanese an 'Airbus.'" Had the president actually made such a post, major news outlets would have widely reported it.

Different fonts

The font is another giveaway that the post calling Albanese an "Airbus" is fake. Posts on Truth Social (and most other social media) use a plainer font with fewer flourishes. There are many subtle differences, but the most obvious appears with the letter J, which is circled in red below, the fake post on top of a real one:
