Fact Check: REAL Video Shows LGBTQ+ Flag During Florida Panthers Game At Amerant Bank Arena Real Flag

Does a video widely shared on April Fool's Day show a real LGBTQ+ flag waving at an entrance to Amerant Bank Arena, a home stadium for the Florida Panthers? Yes, that's true: The video appeared on the hockey team's account on X, among other places. News reports confirmed that the flag was seen during the March 31, 2026, game.

The story appeared in a post (archived here and here) published on X by the @dom_lucre account on April 1, 2026. It opened:

🔥🚨BREAKING: The Florida Panthers Hockey team is facing backlash for installing this massive LGBTQ+ at their arena the Amerant.

The post included a video. This is what a thumbnail from the clip looked like at the time of writing:

Despite being published on April Fool's Day, the video showed a real flag. On March 31, 2026, the Florida Panthers hosted (archived here) an annual Pride Night at the stadium in Sunrise. In the early evening of that day, the Panthers account on X posted (archived here and here) the same video, announcing "all pride at @AmerantArena":
