Fact Check: Texas Televangelist Did NOT Send His Congregation His Grindr Account In An Easter E-Card -- It's From Comedy Account Satire Story

Did a Texas televangelist send his congregation his Grindr account in an Easter morning e-card in April 2026? No, that's not true: The story originated in a post on X by a satirical account and was subsequently reshared on Facebook without the satire disclaimer. There are no reliable reports to support such an incident or claim.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) by the Sherman Bradley Dreadnought account on the Anti-Trump Memes and Videos Resource Facebook page on April 5, 2026. It read:

BREAKING: The homophobic Texas televangelist (J.O.) who claimed Iran would surrender on Easter and name Donald Trump as their new Ayatollah so he could convert all of Iran to Christianity accidentally emailed his entire congregation his Grindr account in his Easter morning e-card.

The Halfway Post account (archived here) clearly states its purpose:

Dadaist graffiti news. Halfway true comedy and satire for your doomscrolling by @DashMacIntyre. I don't report the facts, I improve them.

The original post appeared online approximately eight hours before the post without the comedy/satire disclaimer.

Lead Stories searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo! News (archived here) and did not find any matching reports for "Texas televangelist sent his congregation his Grindr account in an Easter e-card" for early April 2026. Had the incident occurred, it would have been widely reported by major news outlets.
