Fact Check: 'Happy Birthday' Posts Showing Pink Wearing Anti-Trump Shirts Are Not Real -- Spam From Vietnam Viet Spam

Are social media posts wishing Pink a happy birthday and showing the musician wearing an anti-Trump t-shirt real? No, that's not true: The images were generated by artificial intelligence tools and distributed by a spam operation managed from Vietnam. The posts, which link to a website that sells t-shirts, falsely claim Pink's birthday is in May, but the singer was born on September 8.

Lead Stories found at least eight posts with the same caption, but different images, including a post (archived here) shared by the "Anti-Trump" Facebook page on May 16, 2026. It featured an AI image of Pink wearing a black shirt that read:

8747 Not My President. Voice. Values. Beliefs.

This is what the post looked like on Facebook at the time of writing:

The caption read:

Happy 47nd Birthday, P!NK🎉🍰🎂
Alecia Beth Moore, known worldwide as P!NK, isn't just a pop star--she's a symbol of strength, rebellion, and raw honesty. Born on 1979, in Pennsylvania, she rose from a rebellious teenager writing songs in her bedroom to becoming one of the most powerful voices in music.

From early hits like "There You Go" to global anthems like "Just Give Me a Reason" and "What About Us", P!NK built her career on fearless authenticity. She refused to fit into the "perfect pop star" mold--and that's exactly what made her iconic.
Beyond the music, she's known for her jaw-dropping aerial performances, strong personality, and unapologetic attitude toward life, love, and self-worth. P!NK doesn't just sing--she tells stories people feel deep in their souls.
💬 "I'm not here to be perfect. I'm here to be real."
From scars to strength, from chaos to courage--P!NK proves that being different is your greatest power.
👏 Hands up if P!NK has ever inspired you!

The captioned then linked to a t-shirt sales website.

First of all, Pink was born on September 8, 1979, not in May, according to her IMDB profile (archived here).

The image with the post is not real. This Hive Moderation AI Content Detection tool concluded with 99.9% certainty it was fake.

A Facebook search (archived here) for a phrase from the post -- "Alecia Beth Moore, known worldwide as P!NK, isn't just a pop star--she's a symbol of strength, rebellion, and raw honesty" -- returned eight posts using the same caption but different anti-Trump images.

The Vietnam connection is significant, since fact-checkers, including Lead Stories, have identified a major source of AI-generated false stories coming from a single operation based in that Southeast Asian country. Recent reporting and fact checks mentioning that country are available here.

Lead Stories has published a primer -- or a prebunk -- on how to identify these kinds of fake posts exported from Vietnam. It is titled "Prebunk: Beware Of Fake Fan Pages Spreading False Stories About Your Favorite Celebrities -- How To Spot 'Viet Spam.'"
