Fact Check: FAKE Meme Shows 'Epic' Trump-Obama Exchange About Iran Nuclear Deal -- No Evidence It Happened Never Happened

Does a meme accurately show a real "epic moment" exchange between Trump and Obama about Iran nuclear deals? No, that's not true: There is no evidence that such an exchange ever took place on social media or anywhere else. Lead Stories found no credible news coverage documenting the alleged incident.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) by the @_InfoGram_ account on X on May 28, 2026. It read:

Epic moment 🔥

🇺🇸Trump at 5:00 PM -- "No President has done this. We got Iran to talk nukes. Maybe even give them up. This is First time ever."

🇺🇸Obama at 6:00 PM -- "Did it already. No missiles fired. Moved 97% of their enriched uranium out. We didn't have to kill a whole bunch of people or shut down the Strait of Hormuz like you."🔥👏

A similar version of the claim appeared in a post (archived here) on Facebook by Raza Samo on May 29, 2026. It read:

Epic moments in U.S. foreign policy often spark contrasting claims -- and this day was no exception.

At 5:00 PM, Trump declared: "No president has done this. We got Iran to talk nukes. Maybe even give them up. This is the first time ever." The message projected triumph and boldness, framing himself as a historic dealmaker who had achieved unprecedented diplomatic success.

Just an hour later, former President Obama's response cut through the fanfare: "We did it already. No missiles fired. Moved 97% of their enriched uranium out. We didn't have to kill a whole bunch of people or shut down the Strait of Hormuz like you." His words reminded the world that nuclear diplomacy is not about theatrics -- it is about careful strategy, measured action, and avoiding unnecessary escalation.

The exchange highlights the stark difference between political showmanship and seasoned, pragmatic diplomacy -- and the ways history remembers leadership decisions in matters of global security.

There is no evidence that either one of these men ever said the things attributed to them in these social media posts.

Trump quote

Lead Stories first searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo! News (archived here) and did not find any matching reports for "Trump" and "No President has done this. We got Iran to talk nukes. Maybe even give them up. This is First time ever."

Obama quote

Then, Lead Stories searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo! News (archived here) and did not find any matching reports for "Obama" and "Did it already. No missiles fired. Moved 97% of their enriched uranium out. We didn't have to kill a whole bunch of people or shut down the Strait of Hormuz like you."

Neither social media post specifies the date these comments were made, only that they took place an hour apart as part of a political back-and-forth.

Had this exchange actually occurred, it almost certainly would have generated widespread news coverage.
