Does a man nicknamed "Palm Beach Pete" have a girlfriend named "Lishgaine"? No, that's not true: "Palm Beach Pete," whose real name is Peter Simel, does not have a girlfriend named Lishgaine. "Palm Beach Lishgaine" is an AI character. "Lishgaine" is an anagram of Ghislaine, as in Ghislaine Maxwell, a business partner and confidant of Jeffrey Epstein, to whom "Palm Beach Pete" bears a strong resemblance.
The claim appeared in a post (archived here) by the @officialbreannamyoung account on Instagram on Aug. 30, 2026. It read:

The post includes an on-screen caption over several slides that reads:
So we're just going to ignore the fact Palm Beach Petes girlfriends name is Lishgaine?! & looks identical to Ghislaine Maxwell..

Analysis of the images
Lead Stories ran the images through the Hive Moderation AI-Generated Content Detection tool, which returned an aggregated score of 100% for three of them and 76.5% for the fourth, indicating that all of them are likely to be AI-generated:

Lead Stories also ran the four images through Gemini, Google's AI assistant, and two of them (here and here) -- the images featuring the mythical "Lishgaine" by herself (archived here and here) -- were found to be "edited or generated with Google AI."

Lead Stories searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo News (archived here) and did not find any matching reports for "Palm Beach Pete," "Lishgaine," and "girlfriend."
Epstein was found dead in his jail cell on August 10, 2019. Ghislaine Maxwell is being held at the Federal Prison Camp, Bryan in Texas.
Simel, a Palm Beach resident, gained internet fame in March 2026 after a video of him driving in South Florida highlighted his striking resemblance to Epstein (archived here).
