Did Donald Trump post "Paul McCartney is an anti-Trump joke" on Truth Social? No, that's not true: The post's original creator said it was fake. There is no such message on Trump's Truth Social account, and no credible news reports exist of Trump criticizing McCartney or the Beatles.
The claim appeared in a July 17, 2026, post on Facebook account @WNEW-FM 102.7 Fan Club Where Rock Lived in the NYC Tri-State area (archived here). It opened:
We hate him yeah yeah yeah...yeah🤣
and I wonder if is [sic] gardner [sic] speaks any English 😎

The text in the image read:

The fake message was originally posted on the Facebook account @ZekeSky (archived here) on July 15, 2026, with a caption "People will say this is fake. But believe me it is not not unreal," as this screenshot shows:

A search of Trump's Truth Social did not find the message about McCartney and The Beatles, as this screenshot shows:

Trump has posted and deleted messages before. Lead Stories searched Trump's Truths (archived here) an archive of his posts that includes deleted ones, and found no matches for McCartney. Trump's Truth Social posts are often covered by news outlets and had he criticized McCartney and The Beatles, it would have been major news. Lead Stories searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo News (archived here) and found other fact checks but no credible reports of him posting the remarks.
