Fact Check: FAKE Video Shows Bike Rider Swerving Toward Pedestrians, Getting Pushed To Ground AI Bike Ride

Does a real video show a bike rider swerving toward pedestrians before being pushed to the ground? No, that's not true: An AI detection tool concluded that the video showing the incident was generated using artificial intelligence, assigning it a 97.4% confidence score. The video also contains visual glitches that are common indicators of synthetic media.

The claim appeared in a post and video (archived here) by the @MbarkCherguia account on X on Aug. 19, 2026. It read:

Did he deserve it?

Lead Stories ran the video through the Hive Moderation AI-Generated Content Detection tool, which returned an aggregated score of 97.4%, indicating that it is likely to be AI-generated:

AI indicators

A close look at the video reveals signs that it was generated using AI:

About 14 seconds into the video, the rider is violently knocked to the ground (left), landing face down. Within a second, his body morphs so that he is lying on his back with his head facing in the opposite direction (right). The images are shown side by side below:Body morphs.png

In a second example of an AI glitch, the bike's front wheel have no pegs -- also known as footrests, which riders use to do tricks and grind on rails -- before the rider is knocked to the ground. Afterward, the wheel has pegs. Again, the images are side by side below:
