The post contained two factual errors. George was not the U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff but was instead the U.S. Army Chief of Staff. He also did not resign from his post; he was ousted on April 2, 2026 (archived here) by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
