Do two videos that show two different planes prove that the attempted hijacking of the FlyDubai flight Sept. 30, 2026, was a staged "false flag"? No, that's not true: The clip showing a celebration on a plane is of the Israeli men's basketball team from 2025, as Lead Stories previously reported. Nothing in the video proves that the FlyDubai flight was a staged "false flag."
The claim appeared in a post (archived here) by the @daily_rumble account on Instagram on Oct. 1, 2026. It read:
Flydubai hijacking narrative is quickly falling apart with video evidence and expert testimony was it a real hijacking? Was it all staged or was it simply what was first reported which was an altercation between the pilot and copilot? #FlyDubai.

The video opens with a person speaking while showing a video posted by the @hnaftali account (archived here) on Instagram on Sept. 30, 2026. This is what the @hnaftali video looked like on Instagram at the time of writing:
The man in the @daily_rumble video claims this is "More evidence that the FlyDubai hijacking suicide crashing is a false flag and all staged."
He draws attention to the "seating and ceiling" in the first video and then plays a new video clip, which shows people celebrating. He says:
I want you to pay close attention to this seating and the ceiling. Now, they're showing this as the aftermath party, everybody celebrating the victory here over terrorism. But I want you to take a look at that ceiling. Number one, that ceiling is completely different.
The speaker is claiming that because the two videos do not match, the attempted hijacking is a staged "false flag." The ceiling and seating on the two planes do not match because they are two different planes. The celebration video is not from the FlyDubai flight.
As Lead Stories previously reported, the footage of the celebration is from August 2025 and shows members of the Israeli men's basketball team on a plane. The original footage was posted on social media in 2025.
The video of the celebration was posted on the Sport5 account on Facebook (archived here). Sport5 is an Israeli sports channel. The post included a link to a Sport5 news article (archived here) that said the video shows the Israeli men's basketball delegation traveling for the EuroBasket men's basketball tournament.
