UK's #Piggate Scandal: Did Prime Minister Get Intimate With Dead Swine?

  • by: Alan Duke

British tabloids and Twitter are having a field day with a sensational allegation that British Prime Minister David Cameron placed a "private part of his anatomy" into a dead pig's mouth as part of a club initiation when he was a university student.

The most popular hashtag used to mock Cameron is #Piggate, although you'll find plenty of satirical tweets with #IStandWithCameron.

It was a former political ally who squealed on Cameron. A member of parliament who told the author about seeing a photograph of the pig incident, although he "has not provided any corroboration," the Guardian newspaper reported.

The dining club, called Piers Gaveston, was known for debauchery and was notorious for trashing rooms, the newspaper reported.

The book details other allegations of Cameron's younger life, including quotes from a University pal who said the future PM smoked marijuana with him while listening to Supertramp.

Cameron's office has not commented on the book's allegations.

The unauthorized biography of Cameron was penned by billionaire Lord Ashcroft, a former House of Lords member who fell out with Cameron five years ago after donating millions to the Tory Party. He was angry about not getting rewarded with a desirable government position, according to London newspaper reports. He was the Tory treasurer before it was revealed he had not been paying UK taxes on his foreign earnings, which was legal but was scandalous for someone in his position.
