The Dutch A9 highway between Diemen (near Amsterdam) and Alkmaar was blocked for some time this morning because there was a boat on the road. According to reports in Dutch media it fell from a trailer and blocked two lanes.

Soon there was a 6 km (almost 4 miles) traffic jam and delays up to one hour while the boat was being towed away:
