Fact Check: Pro-Trump Cuban Singer is NOT 'Janet Correa', Whose Husband Later Faced Deportation Wrong Person

Did widely-shared social media posts accurately show that a Cuban singer who performed a pro-Donald Trump song was Yanet Correa, whose husband was later ordered to be deported by the Trump administration in 2025? No, that's not true: The woman shown singing "I will vote for Donald Trump" was Ana Pinelli Paez. The second woman, shown crying outside a Miami courthouse after her husband was reportedly ordered to be deported, was Yanet Correa.

The claim appeared in a widely-shared June 21, 2025, post on TikTok. The text caption read:

Cuban song, "I will vote for Donald Trump" singer Janet Correa's husband to be deported.

The video contained two clips: the first showed a woman performing with a band, wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat, and singing "I will vote for Donald Trump"; the second was an excerpt from a news report which showed a woman, named as Yanet Correa, crying outside a courthouse in Miami, Florida after her husband was reportedly ordered to be deported.

The video can be viewed in full below:

In reality, the two clips featured two entirely distinct women.

The first showed Ana Pinelli Paez, a Cuban vocalist and member of the band "Los Tres de la Habana", performing at a Trump campaign rally in Florida on November 1, 2020:

The second clip featured Yanet Correa who, according to an NBC 6 South Florida report from May 29, 2025, was shown crying outside a Miami courthouse after a judge ordered her husband to be deported:

A story on the NBC 6 website spelled her first name "Yanet", as opposed to "Janet", a spelling that was included in several widely-shared social media posts and videos in June 2025.
