The former journalist who secretly recorded Jared Fogle talking about his sexual molestation of children is questioning why it took five years for the FBI to stop the Subway spokesman after she approached the agency.
Rochelle Herman-Walrond secretly recorded phone calls with Fogle in which he even asked if he could watch her own young children in their bedroom.
"Are there any of your kids' friends that you think are pretty hot? What if we put a camera in your kids' room, would they be OK with that?" he said.
The FBI was aware of her recordings, but told her the bureaucracy involved in making a case was slow, she said.
"That was my biggest question, 'Why was it taking so long?'" Herman-Walrond told WWSB-TV. "A case of this size just happens to take that long, and that's what I was told."

Fogle faces between 5 and 12.5 years in prison after pleading guilty to having sex with two underage children. He must also pay $1.4 million in restitution to victims under the plea deal which dismisses other counts. He is set to be sentenced on November 19, 2015.
The recording are hard to listen to for any parent. "I had a little boy," Fogle said in one call. "It was amazing. It just felt so good. I mean, it felt -- it felt so good."
