While there have been many great pictures posted to social media of the massive blizzard crossing the United States' east coast, there is no question that our friendly international astronauts have snapped the most breathtaking of them all . The gallery below contains some of the best images from this past year. Photos are credited to American astronauts Scott Kelly and Terry Virts; and ESA's Italian astronuat, Samantha Cristoforetti.
