John Kasich is bearing down on Ted Cruz, suggesting that if the Texas senator were the Republican presidential nominee it would cost his party dearly in November.
Kasich tweeted a campaign video in which he says "we will lose the courthouse, we will lose the United States Senate," if Cruz is on the party's ticket.
The video includes news clips about the high unfavorable ratings of Cruz and Donald Trump. Kasich is "the only candidate not disliked by most of the electorate," one clip said.
What happens when liberal Democrats sweep from the Senate to the Statehouse?

Ted Cruz is the "worst-case scenario".https://t.co/y9mWtbSPh1
Kasich, who has no chance of arriving at the Cleveland convention with enough delegates to be nominated on a first ballot, is trying to position himself as the best choice in a contested convention in July.
