Listen: Ben Carson Jokes Mom Would've 'Taken A Gun' And Shot 'Dishonest Reporters' If She Didn't Have Alzheimer's

  • by: Alan Duke

Former GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson joked in a radio interview Wednesday that "dishonest reporters" covering his failed campaign might have been the target of a mass shooting by his mother -- if she had been aware of what was going on.

Carson was speaking to the CBS Radio podcast "Brown and Scoop."

"She has Alzheimer's. She's not really cognizant of that, which is a good thing because my mother is really a fighter. She probably would have taken a gun and gone out and shot some of the dishonest reporters," Carson said.
