NBC News reports Tuesday that the wife of Omar Mateen knew her husband was planning something but was unable to convince him not to launch an attack. She could face federal charges because she did not alert authorities before the massacre at Orlando's Pulse nightclub in which 49 people were killed.
Omar Mateen's wife, Noor Zahi Salman, told the FBI she was with him when he bought ammunition and a holster, several officials familiar with the case said. She told the FBI that she once drove him to the gay nightclub, Pulse, because he wanted to scope it out.
