P Diddy DID NOT Sue Empire Show 'They Stole My Life Story'

Fact Check

  • by: Lead Stories Staff

There is an old hoax story making the rounds on the internet once again, stating that "P Diddy Sues Empire Show "They Stole My Life Story." The NOT TRUE story first hit the webs this time last year with the exact same title and content. Though all instances of this story come from known satire and hoax sites, people are not always aware of that and continue to share the NOT TRUE information.

The story starts:

P Diddy or Sean Combs has accused producer Lee Daniels and his writers of mining his personal story for their hit show Empire. Empire follows the life of Luscious Lyon, a hip-hop mogul who is diagnosed with ALS just at the time he is about to take his label Empire Z Records public. It's basically my life except the ALS stuff. All the homosexuality and everything that's pretty much been done too. They might as well have called it Breaking Bad Boy," said Combs from his luxurious white sofa joined by his girlfriend Cassie at his side. A white Bengal tiger roamed the room freely.

And concluding the hoax story:

No stranger to lack of originality, Diddy went on to say, "they basically are detailing everything I had to go through: the shootouts, working with Timbaland, and divas going to prison. I mean, all of it. I think they might owe me some royalties. You can't just put out the Sean Combs Biography without paying me and I'm filing a $100 million dollar lawsuit."

Though Sean Combs is no stranger to controversy, he IS NOT sueing in this particular FALSE case. He is currently promoting a new album:
