Fact Check: Naked People-Adorned Backpack With 'I Want More Sex' Message Is NOT For Children Adults Only

Is a Desigual backpack adorned with naked people and an "I want more sex" message being sold in the children's section? Yes, but not intentionally: The backpack was designed for adults, not children, and was mistakenly available in a children's section, the company said about its product.

The claim appeared in an August 2, 2021, Facebook post (archived here) that opened:

Out school shopping? Take a look at things Lil Susie wants to buy before you add it to the cart.

This is what the post looked like on Facebook at the time of writing:

A photo of the Desigual backpack shows a turquoise backpack with the words "I want more sex" on a pocket as well as an image of a naked man and woman.

The company addressed the situation on its verified Twitter account @desigual on August 6, 2021:

The company shared a statement with Snopes.com, saying:

We would like to sincerely apologize to anyone who has been offended by the design of this backpack.
Please allow us to explain the misunderstanding.
This backpack belongs to our Woman collection, and it is definitely not part of our Kids collection.
Our Kids collection does not currently include any backpacks, as can be seen on our website: https://www.desigual.com/en_US/kids-clothes/
