Fact Check: FAKE Quote Has Stormy Daniels Saying Trump Made 'Gurgling Sounds and Fell Asleep' After Sex Daniels Denies

Did Stormy Daniels say that former President Donald Trump "made gurgling sounds and fell asleep" after the two had sex? No, that's not true: In a public reply to one such meme on X, Daniels stated that the events described didn't happen. A Google News search found no credible documents or reporting to corroborate the claim in the meme.

A version of the claim appeared in a post on Instagram's app Threads on May 7, 2024 (archived here). The meme read:

"I HAD NO IDEA IF HE PENETRATED ME-AND I AM A PROFESSIONAL, HE JUST KEPT YELLING, I'M YUGE! I'M THE GREATEST, AND THEN HE MADE GURGLING SOUNDS AND FELL ASLEEP. HEY, IT WAS A JOB AND THE CHECK CLEARED."

Here is how the post appeared at the time of writing:

Lead Stories found an earlier iteration of the meme posted to X on March 11, 2024, (archived here) in which the original poster asked, "Is this for real."

From her verified X account, Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford (archived here), replied, "No."

The claim resurfaced on social media following Daniel's May 7, 2024, witness appearance during the Trump "hush money trial." During her testimony, Daniels described her alleged affair with the former president.

Lead Stories also searched using keywords on Google News' (archived here) thousands of reliable information sites, which found no credible documents or reporting to corroborate the claim.

Daniels also described her alleged time with Trump in an August 22, 2018, interview on "60 Minutes" (archived here). At no point during that interview did Daniels describe events similar to those made in the meme.
