Fact Check: NO Evidence Matt Damon Said Jennifer Lopez Was Involved In Alleged Sean 'Diddy' Combs Sex Crimes No Proof

Did Matt Damon leak evidence of Jennifer Lopez being involved in Sean "Diddy" Combs' alleged sex crimes? No: "This is absolutely not true," a representative for Damon told Lead Stories. A viral article about the supposed leak contained no evidence or source. The website that published it was anonymously registered in March 2024. No actual news websites published anything about Damon leaking evidence that Lopez had been involved in the alleged crimes for which Combs is charged.

The claim appeared in an article (archived here) on Hot News Today US on September 12, 2024, under the headline "JUST IN: Matt Damon LEAKS Evidence Of Jennifer Lopez RECRUITING Workers For Diddy." It began:

A rumor has surfaced claiming that Matt Damon has leaked evidence of Jennifer Lopez allegedly recruiting workers for music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

This is what the article looked like at the time of writing:

The domain name of the website that published the article was anonymously registered in March of 2024 according to WHOIS data (archived here). It listed no owner or publisher and the writer of the article was only identified as "Nhuong".

There is no evidence in the article that confirms the headline. There are no sources cited, no people quoted and no proof that Damon said anything at all about Lopez and Combs after the rapper mogul was arrested on September 16, 2024, for alleged sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution (archived here). He has pled not guilty. Instead, the article contradicts the headline with this sentence:

As of now, there is no official confirmation from Damon regarding this supposed leak, nor any direct evidence supporting these claims.

"This is absolutely not true," Damon's representative, Jennifer Allen, told Lead Stories via email on September 26, 2024. "The article speaks for itself in stating there is no evidence for this."

A Google search of keywords (archived here) did not find any news reports that Damon "leaked" evidence of Lopez's involvement in Combs' alleged sex crimes.
