Fact Check: Trump Did NOT Post 'I Don't Poop Myself' To Truth Social Satire Origin

Did Donald Trump post "I don't poop myself" to his social media platform, Truth Social, as posts on social media suggested? No, that's not true: An account on X that describes itself as posting satire and parody content first shared an image that appeared to be a screenshot of the quote but with a satire label. The original poster also wrote in the comments section multiple times that the post was satire. Even so, other social media accounts shared the satirical content as authentic.

The claim originated in a post on X on October 12, 2024, (archived here) that appeared to show a screenshot of a post from Trump's Truth Social account. It read:

THE FAKE NEWS IS SICK! NOW THEY'RE CLAIMING I HAVE 'INCONTINENCE' ISSUES-TOTAL LIES!! I DON'T POOP MYSELF, NEVER HAVE, NEVER WILL! THIS IS JUST MORE DESPERATE ATTACKS AND ELECTION INTERFERENCE! ABSOLUTELY CROSSING A RED LINE!!!

Agent Self FBI (@AgentSelf99B) is an account on X that describes its content as containing satire and parody. Its profile bio section (archived here) reads:

Registered Republican | Deep State Director and (FBI is a parody) Harris 2024

At least twice in the post's comments section, the user noted that the supposed quote from Trump was satirical. Those comments are visible here (archived here) and here (archived here), as well as shown below:

Other accounts on social media shared the above screenshot as authentic and did not include the satire labeling, which can be seen here (archived here) and here. Examples of these posts are also shown below:
