Fact Check: Prince Harry's Son Archie Had NOT Died As Of Mid-November 2024 Clickbait

Did Prince Harry's son Archie die? No, that's not true: There has been no such announcement by the family or in the news media. The social media post implying this leads readers to an article that has nothing to do with Archie.

The claim appeared in a post on Facebook (archived here) on November 12, 2024, with two photographs of Prince Harry, one showing him holding his son Archie. It said:

HUGE TRAGEDY 😭💔 Heartbreak for Prince Harry. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing

This is what the post looked like on Facebook at the time of writing:

Contrary to the implication of the photograph, the "passing" has nothing to do with Harry's 5-year-old son. The post encouraged readers to "Check the comments Below for the full story." Those who do are taken to a post (archived here) that describes the death of the sister of one of Harry's supposed ex-girlfriends. There is no reference to Archie in the article.

There is also no mention of Archie in the November news releases posted on the official website for Harry and his wife Meghan (archived here).

A Google News search turned up no story involving the death of Archie.
