Fact Check: Trump Did NOT Post On Truth Social He Had 'Started His Day By Listening To "Not Like Us" By Kendrick Lamar' Didn't Post

Did President-elect Donald Trump post on Truth Social that he had "started his day by listening to 'Not Like Us' by Kendrick Lamar"? No, that's not true: Such a post could not be found on Trump's Truth Social profile. The image of the fake post originated from parody creator Daily Noud.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) on Instagram on November 10, 2024. The caption said:

Donald Trump revealed that he has been playing Kendrick Lamar's 'Not Like Us' on repeat since being elected President of the United States:🙃😳😅 thoughts!

This is what the post looked like at the time of writing:

Lead Stories went through Trump's Truth Social posts between November 4, 2024, the day before Election Day, and November 11, 2024, and did not find the post that was claimed or any post mentioning Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" song.

A reverse image search using Google Lens (archived here) points to the claim -- the same supposed Trump post but with different photos of Trump and Lamar -- having originated from Daily Noud (archived here). The November 10, 2024, post's date further reinforces that Trump did not post about listening to Lamar's song on November 6, 2024, as claimed, and that the image of a post supposedly from Trump is fabricated.
