Fact Check: Luigi Mangione Is NOT Skateboarding Man In Video Different Man

Does a video show Luigi Mangione, the man accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, skateboarding? No, that's not true: The video shows Guy Azulay, a musician and skateboarder, who posted the clip on his personal Instagram account. It does not show Mangione, who was arrested on December 9, 2024 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in Thompson's death in Manhattan on December 4, 2024.

The claim appeared in a post and video published on X on December 15, 2024 (archived here) which opened:

The video does not show Mangione but is of Guy Azulay, who posted it on his Instagram account (archived here) on December 12, 2024, as seen below:

The X account that posted the video, @LuigiCrave, claiming it showed Mangione and his "incredible skateboarding skills" also posted other satirical videos and claims about Mangione.

Mangione was arrested (archived here) on December 9, 2024, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in the shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Thompson in Manhattan on December 4, 2024.
