Does a real photo show Hakeem Jeffries eating with Jeffrey Epstein? No, that's not true: There is no evidence that the House Democratic leader ever ate with or met Epstein. The image is AI-generated, according to two online detection tools, with one saying, "Most or all of this image was edited or generated with Google AI," and the other saying it was "likely to be AI-generated."

A Google reverse image search (archived here) shows this image may have first appeared in a post (archived here) on Feb. 11, 2026, on the @DumbFxckFinder account (archived here). The account's profile clearly states the kind of content it produces (highlighted by Lead Stories):

Lead Stories ran the image in the post through Gemini, Google's AI assistant (archived here); it reached this conclusion:
Most or all of this image was edited or generated with Google AI.
The Hive Moderation AI-Generated Content Detection tool concluded that the image was 73.2% "likely to be AI-generated":

Lead Stories searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo News (archived here) and did not find any matching reports about the claim from credible news outlets using the search terms: "Hakeem Jeffries," "Jeffrey Epstein," and "photo."
Also, in a Nov. 18, 2025, interview (archived here) with CNN's Kaitlan Collins, Jeffries denied ever speaking with or meeting Epstein:
Collins: [T]he White House has been highlighting an email that I'm sure you've seen today that Jeffrey Epstein got in 2013. They say it shows you were soliciting money and dinner from [Epstein]. The email was not sent from you. It was sent from a political consulting firm called Dynamic SRG that says, 'We are thrilled to announce we are working with Congressman Hakeem Jeffries. Shoot us an email or give us a call if you would like to get involved.' What's your response? Do you recall that email being sent to Jeffrey Epstein from that team?
Jeffries: Yeah, of course, I have no recollection of the email. I've never had a conversation with him, never met him, know nothing about him other than the extreme things that he's been convicted of doing.
