Fact Check: Edited Video Captioned 'Boo The Bastard' Does NOT Show Trump Being Booed At 2025 Super Bowl -- Old Video, Audio Added Old Vid Edited

Did a video captioned "BOO THE BASTARD" authentically show President Donald Trump being booed at the Super Bowl in 2025? No, that's not true: The video was uploaded to TikTok days before the 2025 Super Bowl with a caption encouraging viewers to "do it." The original footage was taken at a 2020 football game that did not feature the booing on the audio track.

The video (archived here) was uploaded to TikTok on February 7, 2025 (two days before the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 9, 2025) with the following description:

Superbowl....just do it! #SuperBowl #fotus #potus #trump #donaldtrump #melania #boooo @donaldjtrumpjr

The original footage (archived here) has been online since January 14, 2020, on the YouTube channel ABC11 under a title that read "President Trump cheered taking field at College Football Championship game," and it was described in the caption as:

President Donald Trump and wife Melania Trump receive an ovation at the College Football National Championship.

The soundtrack did not feature the loud "boo" shouts heard in the edited video.
