Fact Check: Damon Imani Has NEVER Been On 'The View' -- Posts Satirical Edited Videos Never Been On

Did Damon Imani appear on "The View" and was he verbally sparring with the hosts? No, that's not true: Imani is a producer, artist and commentator who often publishes digitally edited videos placing himself in various existing videos. They are labeled as satire on his own social media channels but sometimes his videos get shared or stolen without that context.

A recent example of such a video appeared on Instagram (archived here) on February 25, 2025, in a video captioned:

Damon confronts The View's Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro after they called Christians ungodly for not being woke.
-
Satire but true.

Right off the bat Imani indicates the video is meant as a satire.

This is what the video looked like on Instagram:

The bio on his YouTube channel (archived here) also says he clearly identifies his satirical content:

Damon Imani delivers commentary on various topics, including politics, society and current events.
Most of the content on this channel consists of original satire and transformative media commentary, and the videos that contain satire are clearly identified in both the title and description.

The actual segment of "The View" that the source video was taken from (at 16:51) does not feature Damon Imani at all:

According to the cast & crew listing for "The View" on The Internet Movie Database (archived here) Damon Imani has never appeared on "The View," as of this writing.
