Fact Check: NO Evidence Warren Buffett Said 'President Trump Making Best Financial Decisions In 50 Years' No Proof

Did Warren Buffett say President Trump is making the best financial decisions in 50 years? No, that's not true: There is no evidence that Buffet praised Trump saying he was making stellar financial decisions in March 2025. A search of Google did not return any matching credible news stories. Buffett did blast Trump's tariffs on an interview with CBS News show Sunday Morning, calling them "an act of war to some degree."

The claim appeared in an article (archived here) where it was published on X on March 13, 2025. It opened:

Buffett did blast Trump's tariffs on CBS News, as Yahoo! Finance reported on March 10, 2025:

In his recent interview, Buffett briefly touched on tariffs and called them "an act of war to some degree," saying that the U.S. has had a lot of experience with tariffs and that over time they become a tax on goods. "I mean the tooth fairy doesn't pay them," he said.

CBS Sunday Morning posted the video of Buffett calling Trump's tariff's "an act of war to some degree" from March 2, 2025, on their Facebook page (archived here).
