Were three men responsible for kidnapping 163 missing children in Florida? No, that's not true: There is no evidence that Michael Prescott, Jayden Harwood, and Robert Allison were responsible for the disappearances of all the children recovered during Operation Statewide Shield. The three men cited in the claim were charged with crimes involving individual victims, not all 163 children.
The claim appeared in a post and image (archived here) by the @aintscarylarry account on X on Aug. 30, 2026. It read:
Here's the mug shots of the sick fucks who abducted, sexually assaulted, and held 163 children captive in Florida.

On Aug. 25, 2026, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced the recovery of 163 children during Operation Statewide Shield (archived here). The news release said:
Operation Statewide Shield was a 5-day statewide operation focused on identifying, locating, and recovering missing children under the age of 18 across the state of Florida. Developed with a specific goal to provide immediate access to child-focused services, the investigation utilized real-time intelligence and field operations for location and recovery.
The multi-disciplinary task force proactively located vulnerable youth across the state of Florida, including 46 recoveries ... in the Tampa Bay region, 41 in Miami, 32 in Jacksonville, 21 in Orlando, 12 in Fort Myers, 8 in Pensacola, and 3 in the Tallahassee region. The operation also resulted in locations and recoveries in six states, one U.S. territory, and 12 countries. The children ranged in age from 2 months to 17 years old, and many had experienced various levels of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or exposure to other criminal activity.
Prescott, Harwood, and Allison were the initial arrests announced in connection with the operation, but authorities noted that additional arrests were expected (archived here). None of the men were charged with kidnapping multiple children:
- Prescott: Three counts of lewd or lascivious battery involving a victim age 12 to 16, felony battery and aggravated assault; he also had an active warrant for interference with child custody.
- Harwood: Interference with the custody of a child and resisting an officer without violence.
- Allison: One count of lewd or lascivious battery involving a victim age 12 to 16.
Additional reporting on the operation is available here (archived here).
