Fact Check: Donald Trump DID Post He Was Never On Epstein's Plane Or His 'Stupid' Island' -- In 2024 He Posted It

Did Donald Trump post on Truth Social that he was never on Jeffrey Epstein's plane or his "stupid" Island? Yes, that's true: Trump's Truth Social timeline still displays the message shared on January 9, 2024. Some X users insisted Trump never made the statement, including the author of a proposed community note.

The true claim that Trump posted the message appeared in a post (archived here) published on X on July 16, 2025:

🚨 #BREAKINGNEWS Trump claims he was never on Epstein's plane. That is false according to Epstein's own flight logs. In fact Melania Trump is also on the flight logs with the kids. Flight logs in thread. 🚨

This is what the post looked like at the time of writing:

This post drew enough skepticism that one disbeliever proposed a community note -- a crowdsourced fact check. If approved, a note under the post would have declared that "President Trump never posted this Truth."

But Trump did publish a Truth Social post (archived here) making the statement on January 9, 2024.

This fact check does not evaluate the accuracy of Trump's claims about his presence on Jeffrey Epstein's plane or island, only whether he posted that he'd never been on either.
