Does the Constitution of the United States say, in Article II Section 4, "If the president is impeached for treason, the vice president and all civil officers shall be removed."? No, that's not true: The quote appearing in a social media post is not accurate. Article II Section 4 of the Constitution reads, "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."
The false quote appeared in a post (archived here) published on X by @Michell33650674 on Aug. 25, 2025. It was captioned:

This is not an accurate quote or representation of what the Constitution says. The full text of the Constitution of the United States can be found on the website of the National Archives. In Article II, the section in question (archived here) reads:
Section. 4.
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
