Fact Check: AI Generated South Park Clip Has Cartman Talking About Trump's Salary, Golf, Golden Ballroom -- Not Authentic AI Cartman

Is a video of cartoon character Cartman standing next to President Trump while criticizing him for things like stealing from a cancer charity and bankrupting casinos and wondering why someone would vote for "this bag of shit" real? No, that's not true: The video showing Cartman saying he doesn't "give a flying fuck" about Trump not taking a paycheck or salary is AI generated. The clip, which also included references to a golden ballroom and golf, did not appear in an episode of South Park.

The video was uploaded on TikTok (archived here) on August 10, 2025 with a description that read:

TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK #tellmewhatyouthink #cartoon #ai#sp#foreducationalpurposesonly#fl #florida #southflorida #foryoupage #foryou #fypシ゚viral #fypシ #foryoupageofficiall #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #fyp #fypage #f

The description used the hashtag "ai" to indicate it wasn't real.

In the video, South Park character Cartman stands next to a bare-chested President Trump, under a caption that reads "Tell me what you think":

In the clip Cartman gives a speech, transcribed here by Lead Stories:

I don't give a flying fuck if Donald Trump didn't take a paycheck. He's a convicted felon. He stole from a children's cancer charity. I mean, he bankrupted casinos for fuck's sake. And now he's blowing 200 million on a golden ballroom for himself and spending millions of taxpayer dollars to golf. I'd much rather have a real president keep the damn salary and be a decent human being instead of the orange sack of excrement we have right now. How fucking deplorable does someone have to be to vote for this bag of shit? Seriously.

An AI detector (Hiya in the InVid verification plugin) confirmed that the audio was not authentic and that several parts were the result of "voice cloning" and "very likely AI-Generated":
