Fact Check: Video Does NOT Show A Real Incident Where A Trump Supporter Was Denied Service At A Grocery Store Staged Skit

Did a grocery store cashier refuse to serve a customer wearing a red Trump hat and Trump shirt because she disagreed with his politics? No, that's not true: This video is a staged skit produced by Network Media, a YouTube channel and company which helps digital creators to monetize their content. The grocery store skit is posted with credit to Network Media on the YouTube channel of Jon Weiss, the actor who played the customer in the Trump hat.

The video (archived here) was published on X by ARYA™ @elia_mafhh on Aug. 25, 2025. The post was captioned:

Immediately should Sue her and the store

She denied him service! 😳😳😳

It carried this disclaimer:

The Network Media website (archived here) describes the company this way:

We're a company that turns motivated entertainers into top-earning digital creators. We help get you monetized on different platforms, and we work with the platforms to keep your pages healthy.

Both the people and the set used for this skit are Network Media production regulars:

A video on the Network Media YouTube channel titled, "The supermarket camera recorded everything!" shows a runaway bride skit -- a recurring Network Media theme.

Although filmed from a different angle (pictured in the photos below left) the set has a blue-trimmed checkout counter and the same products; the tortillas and the case of S.Pellegrino mineral water on the top shelf, as the grocery store in the denied service video.

Also shown below, at right, is a man who makes repeat appearances in the company's productions. In a video posted on the @jonweiss6391 channel, titled, "He Hired a NANNY on Tinder?!" (pictured below right) the characters appear to be the same actors from the denied service skit.
