Fact Check: Dairy Queen Possibly Visited By Tyler Robinson After Charlie Kirk Shooting Has NOT Shut Down -- Still Serving Blizzards Wrong DQ

Has the Dairy Queen where a photo possibly shows Tyler Robinson visited hours after he allegedly shot Charlie Kirk to death been suspiciously shut down? No, that's not true: A photographer sent by Lead Stories to the DQ in Orem, Utah, confirmed with an employee that it was still operating on September 29, 2025. A self-described investigative journalist who posted a video of a closed and gutted Dairy Queen on September 28, 2025, was at the wrong location. A real estate agent handling the leasing of that building told Lead Stories it was closed in mid-September because the restaurant operator declined to renew the lease.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) published by @ProjectConstitu account on X on September 29, 2025. It opened:

🚨VANISHED OVERNIGHT: Tyler Robinson's Dairy Queen Suddenly Gutted & Emptied -- Closed, Cleaned, and Covered Up? Suspicious Shutdown of Tyler Robinson's Dairy Queen Raises Alarms.

This is what the post looked like at the time of writing:

The post continued:

What Are They Hiding?
@RealGeorgeWebb1 wen't yesterday to the 'Dairy Queen' tied to Tyler Robinson, and shocker it's CLOSED, completely gutted, and fenced off -- emptied out FAST. Mops, buckets, a packed trailer in the lot, trash still on the curb. Too quick. Too clean. Too convenient. 👀

The post is referencing a video (archived here) that George Webb shared on his X account on September 28, 2025.

In the video captioned "You will never guess what happened to Tyler Robinson's Dairy Queen," Webb said:

"Well, we're at 1545, 1545. Is that a Dairy Queen sign? Interestingly enough, it is. Looks like it's been totally taken apart. Cleaning mop buckets everywhere and so forth. It's right across, by the way, from Brigham Young University, right across from the stadium, right? So my point is, there's the football stadium. Cameras all over here. The FBI should be able to easily say what the path was for Robinson to get to the airport. The Dodge Challenger--there should be Flock cameras all along here."

The @ProjectConstitu post included a list of questions it said "EVERYONE should be asking right now:"

• Why was the store torn down within days of the shooting?
• Who ordered the cleanup -- owner, landlord, or someone else?
• Why aren't we seeing clear, time-stamped CCTV of Robinson's movements from the cameras all along that route (stadium, parking lot, nearby businesses)?
• Was the tile/flooring or any evidence altered before investigators could document it?
This is not speculation -- it's a call for transparency. If there's nothing to hide, release the footage, Let independent investigators verify the timeline. 📁🔍

That post ends with a video clip of Webb adding details about his visit to the closed DQ:

It was serving Superman Blizzards three days ago, now it's being torn down.

Lead Stories found major problems with Webb's claim and the conclusions made by @ProjectConstitu. He was at the wrong location. The Dairy Queen Grill & Chill seen in the photo released by Candace Owens in a video (archived here) on September 18, 2025, was at 813 E 800 N. Orem, Utah. Webb was at 1545 North Canyon Road, Provo, Utah.

A Lead Stories representative visited the Orem location on September 19, 2025, and confirmed (archived here) that it was possible the photo did show Robinson at that store on the day of the shooting, based on the Superman poster in the background.

Lead Stories interviewed a real estate agent who is handling the leasing of the closed Provo Dairy Queen on September 29, 2025.

The agent said the restaurant closed down two weeks earlier because the franchise operator declined to renew the lease and was forced to handover the keys by September 30, 2025. Webb could not have seen Superman Blizzards being served there "three days ago" as he said in the September 29, 2025, video. Any suspicion about its closing is unfounded, since there is no known relationship between that location and Robinson.

The Orem location is not closed. Lead Stories revisited the store and confirmed with an employee it was still operating. This is a photo taken of that location by a Lead Stories representative who visited there on September 29, 2025.

There were no customers there since the photo was taken at 9:29 a.m. and the store does not open until 10:30 a.m. on Mondays.
